The Purpose of Education is a short animation movie based on the extract of the speech by Naom Chomsky (with the same title) created for my Major Project Practical Assignment.
Concept
The main role of the project was to explore various animation techniques and develop skills in areas: animation, composing, production, visualisation and storytelling. The aim was to create an experimental animated short film to represent an abstract idea in an illustrative way.
Research Question
How an abstract concept can be communicated with use of an animation movie as a medium.
Narrative
The narrative is based on the audio, with visual language evolving into typography and animated methaphorical sequences of images, which pursue to represent the complete meaning of the thought.
